Suitcase fusion 4 license#It’s a fast and easy way to share font designs and type treatments without infringing on license agreements. The recipient could then scale the graphic representation to fit a layout. You essentially take a screen grab of a font and email it to a client or colleague so they can see what a font looks like. In the Photoshop implementation of Suitcase Fusion 4, you’ll also get access to web fonts from WebINK and Google fonts from within the font panel that allows you to generate Web page mock-ups.Ī nifty feature is the ability to create Extensis Snapshots. Suitcase Fusion 4 main interface Click on image for larger view. Suitcase Fusion 4 also lets you create something called Font Digests, custom collections of fonts form across multiple libraries. A star appears beside those favorites making it easy to locate them. From within the Suitcase font panel you can also designate favorite fonts in library. You don’t have to go to another menu to see what that font looks like. Plus every font shown in that panel appears as a WYSIWYG preview. The Suitcase font panel shows all the fonts in your library whether they are currently active in Suitcase or not. You don’t have to leave your CS application to do so. After you find the font you’d like to use, you can also activate fonts from within that font panel. These font panels have the look and feel of the resident font panels, but they differ in key aspects. The most interesting - and timesaving - feature is the addition of font panels that let you see your font library from within Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and now InCopy. Suitcase Fusion 4 has a number of features that users of Adobe Creative Suit applications will especially appreciate. Suitcase fusion 4 mac#I'd also like an option to move all unnecessary OS fonts to a new Suitcase Fusion Library, because the Mac System Library Fonts folder (and other Library folders) contains many unneeded fonts, as does the Windows Fonts Control Panel.A new version of Suitcase Fusion, the font management application from Extensis, came out this week. Finding duplicate fonts is easy, but it would make cleanup much easier to find dupes except for the highest version number. I'm so impressed with Suitcase Fusion 4 that I'm switching from my previous font manager however, I'd like to suggest a couple of minor improvements. (Keep in mind that Suitcase Fusion isn't a server-based or server-aware product, and isn't compatible with the Extensis Universal Type Server or Client software.) But, as always, there are too many features to list here. The Find Similar feature is handy when looking for OpenType versions of older Type1 fonts. Suitcase Fusion still includes the excellent Font Doctor for inspecting fonts (a $50-70 value if purchased separately). (It would be nice if Suitcase Fusion could include a link to the Adobe Typekit, as well.) Suitcase fusion 4 free#Two useful updated features for Web designers are WebINK (the free Development version) and Google Web Fonts, which allow CSS links to fonts stored on the Web, enabling fonts previously converted to graphics. Suitcase fusion 4 update#(Note: Because of a bug, Photoshop CS6 doesn't yet support the new panel, but an update from Adobe is expected soon.)Īs Suitcase Fusion has been available only on Windows for the last two versions, I installed Fusion 4 on both my Windows and Macintosh laptops so I could compare running it on a Mac. It has a new, improved panel interface within InDesign, Illustrator, InCopy, and Photoshop (CS5-CS6). Although not a major upgrade, Suitcase Fusion 4 is a must-have if you're running any Adobe CS6 software. ![]()
